Increase PAC Donations and Member Involvement Donating to PAC
Each school will have a PAC representative
PAC Rep will educate members on PAC
Collect PAC voluntary contribution
Register employeese to vote
Encourage staff to continue as delegates and work to be elected again in the future
Communicate with members on the legislative issues
Engage faculties and staff to contact legislators |
Organize a Local PAC Committee
Building PAC Reps will act as members of the local PAC committee
The committee will:
Develop relationships with individuals that could be future candidates for office in the next election cycle
Interview candidates
Encourage PAC expenditures
Encourage member involvement in endorsed campaigns
Lobby policymakers
Encourage and organize PAC donations
Encourage support for UEA recommended candidates |
Organize Utah County Voting Districts
Select volunteer educator chairs to organize educators in each voting district
Educator Coordinators will organize educators to elect education friendly candidates in the November general election
Educator Coordinators will organize educator delegates to continue to be active in their party committees

Educators will Increase Educator Involvement in Utah County Party Politics
Increase educator involvement in activities sponsored by County Republications/Democrats
Elect educators to County party committees
Work with other moderates to form a Utah County moderate caucus |
Increase Educator Coalition dialogue with Elected Legislators Politics and Legislation
Organize legislative contact teams using association leaders, school board, PTA, students and other community policy makers
Locals will host events with local legislators before the January session (invite UEA)
Work with legislators to write and sponsor education legislation
Assign several local PAC contact people to each legislator |
Elect Strong Local School Board Members Who Support Educators and Public Education
Local presidents will attend each local School Board Meeting
Yearly evaluations will be made of School Board Members
Strong Board candidates will be recruited and supported in local elections
Ongoing dialogue with each School Board Member will occur
One local association board member will be assigned to each district board person
Reports will be given at local association board meetings each month on these visits and Board meetings
The local associations will do one association PowerPoint presentation on goals and activities of the association each year to School Board Members |
